Great Review of Laguna 1-Piece Suit on Trackdaymag.com

Track Day Magazine fell in love with our Laguna Suit after testing it at Gingerman Raceway in Michigan. They are proclaiming it to be a “dream suit” that can improve your lap time and help riders stay focused on the race track.

“Usually, it would be preposterous to claim that a new set of leathers might make you faster but in this case, the ease of movement and superior ventilation of the Laguna really do make a noticeable difference.  You’ll run faster laps, feel less fatigue and stay at your peak level of performance for a longer period.”

Now what exactly makes the Laguna a dream suit? Well, I will let the four page article do the talking, but I will mention that it offers protection, complete comfort, allows full agility on the bike, and you look like a superstar in the process.  The article reveals that AGV’s design allows cooling of the blood while riding due to perforated strips over major arteries.  Riding on a hot day doesn’t have to be uncomfortable and affect your performance anymore. We believe if you feel better, you’ll ride better!

This year is AGVSPORT’s 25th anniversary under the same management. Michael, the owner, has been riding for even longer but, he still takes time to make it to Summit Point track days. This is why the article says that the suit feels like it has been made by a serious racetrack rider who decided to take matters into their own hands and fix the mistakes made by others. This statement follows the single reason why AGVSPORT is in business, to create motorcycle apparel designed by riders, for riders.   AGVSPORT knows the design tricks for ultimate riding apparel and is not afraid to reveal them.

We would like to thank trackdaymag.com for their kind words. The detail they went into was truly well done.

Washington D.C. (PRWEB) August 12, 2010

This year marks the 20th anniversary celebrating AGVSPORT’s sponsorship of the California Superbike School. Keith Code, founder of the number one bike school, has taught over 100,000 racers including 15 superbike champions who have taken AGVSPORT leathers to the podium. To add on to their historic year AGVSPORT has reached a long term and exclusive licensing agreement with their official U.S. distributor Motonation, a San Diego based company offering products from Premier American and Italian companies. Motonation now has coverage from head-to-toe of the highest quality motorcycle gear from AGVSPORT, SIDI boots, and VEMAR helmets. With a continued relationship with Keith Code’s California Superbike School and the addition of Motonation as the new US license holder and distributor AGVSPORT continues to grow and be one of the most recognized names in racing and sport apparel.

Founded in 1985, this year marks the 25th anniversary of AGV Sport’s Group Inc which is one of the oldest riders owned and operated motorsports apparel companies in the industry. Under the direction of the founder Michael Parrotte, AGV Sports Group makes sure their products are engineered for maximum functionality without compromising abrasion and tear resistance as well as comfort. With the origin of the company being the importation of AGV Helmets from Italy, the company has a strong technical mentality based on the world of helmet manufacturers.

Apparel design is always geared to their core market being the serious rider and/or racer. Identical products worn by AGVSPORT professional riders, most notably seven-time AMA Superbike champion Mat Mladin, can be purchased by the general public. Each product is designed by riders for riders and function is never sacrificed for aesthetics. Keeping product development with Road Racers and Sport bike enthusiasts in house, they stay loyal to their dedicated followers who respect the quality and value of AGVSPORT gear and apparel.

The 2010 product line has had nothing but good review, which can be seen on the company’s blog site, most notably from trackdaymag.com regarding their Laguna suit. “Overall, the functionality of the AGV Sport suit was so good that when he switched back to his regular leathers later in the day, our tester immediately felt hot… This is one serious suit and the price is right in line with the cost of similar garments from other top brands.” The review goes on to say that the Laguna suit has immense functionality and comfort even after a tedious day at the track. It can be purchased through Motonation or found at one of AGVSPORT’s vendor displays on an upcoming weekend.

Moving forward this year AGVSPORT will have a display garage in the paddock at the 2010 Red Bull Indy MotoGP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the 27th to the 29th of August. In addition to the MotoGP, they will also be present at the New Jersey round of the AMA Pro Superbike Championship at New Jersey Motorsports Park the 3rd to the 5th of September. A full range of 2011 AGVSPORT products will be available at both events.

History & Mission Statement
The list of riders who have worn AGV Sport products at some point during their career reads like a Who’s Who of road racing – Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Troy Bayliss, Kurtis Roberts, Steve Crevier, Ben Bostrom, Eric Bostrom, Thomas Stevens, Pascal Picotte, Roland Sands, Mike Hale, Randy Renfrow, Aaron Yates, and seven-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin. Unlike most other apparel manufacturers, the identical AGV Sport products worn by the professional riders can be purchased by the general public.

Each product is designed by riders for riders and function is never sacrificed for aesthetics. By keeping product development and design in house and using experienced riders, we are staying true to the dedicated following of advanced riders who respect the quality and value of performance driven products.

Laguna Suit Crash Review

Chris Onwiler, Senior Editor of TrackDayMag.com personally tested the suit just weeks after they reviewed the Laguna 1-Piece Suit. The crash was a front end tuck at approximately 70 mph. Chris slid on his right side for roughly 100 feet on pavement before tumbling into the gravel trap. The seams were such a high quality stitch that they weren’t compromised, just a small abrasion hole the size of a pencil in the leather.

Laguna Suit

The Laguna Suit is designed to give riders maximum mobility and comfort when riding. The retail customer gets the same protection as pro riders like seven-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin who wore AGVSPORT leathers for most of his career. All of the instructors at the famous California Superbike School wear AGVSPORT Laguna 1-Piece Racing Suits.

As expected the Laguna is described as a “one-crash suit” but with minimal damage compared to other high-end lightweight suits made of top grain leather, and low repair costs. Even though Chris endured a high speed crash he walked away without a bruise or scratch on him thanks to the Laguna Suit.

California Superbike School

The results are not surprising to us because at AGVSPORT we take every design detail into consideration whether it is comfort, fashion, and of course protection. This being the 25th anniversary of AGVSPORT we have had more than enough time to master the craft. It is no surprise that Trackdaymag.com did a follow up on its original review to truly test the quality of our product. We passed both tests and the 2010 product catalog has had nothing but great reviews.
