 This position is open to all high school and college students with interests in marketing, public relations, advertising, or related fields. 

The Philosophy of the AGV Sport Intern Program 

 Our goal is to make the intern program equally beneficial to the intern and the organization. We will challenge our interns to work hard and make a contribution to helping the organization turn a profit. Interns completing the program will have practical experience which will give them the advantage when applying for positions in the sports or marketing industries, enabling the intern to ask for a higher starting salary and structuring a more successful career.

 AGV Sport interns will be trained on creating marketing plans, sales techniques and sales closing methods. Goals will be set and a game plan will be established to help interns achieve and surpass goals. The intern program is designed to focus on advance sales in a fun and exciting environment.

 Programs 

 

AGV Sport offers different programs with variable benefits and workloads. These programs require different weekly hours and the willingness to assist with promotions after hours and weekends when available. AGV Sport offers programs for International students and interns as well as summer work like the Work and Travel USA program. We accept applications from all over the world including Russia , Ukraine , Poland , Czech Republic , Romania , Bulgaria , Lithuania , and all the former republics of the USSR .

 Length

 The length of internship is variable depending on situation and school requirements, this subject is negotiable. Most programs are three, six, twelve, or eighteen.

 Duties Include

  • Working as a team with other interns to plan and implement one complete promotional event per quarter under guidance of AGV Sport staff.

  • Actively promoting existing AGV Sport events and programs.

  • Help develop and refine the overall AGV Sport student marketing plan.

  • Other duties as assigned—general office work.

 Desired Characteristics

  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong writing skills

  • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, or desire to gain competency

 Credit/Compensation

 Student interns will have an opportunity to receive college credit. Contact your undergraduate advising office for more information on academic credit. Compensation depends on your work program as defined above, some ‘lighter’ work-load programs will have no compensation while others will have multiple benefits. Housing and travel costs may be covered for some programs.

 By the end of this training the trainee will have learned to:

  • Create a marketing plan for a specific product and target market

  • Draw together profiles and marketing strategies for individual customers

  • Write reports and present them to the Management team

  • Create advertisements for client events

  • Support world wide promotional activities and campaigns

  • Market and explore new ideas for inclusion in the company’s strategy

  • Manage and develop existing client accounts

  • Service an international customer base, providing excellent customer service and sales support to individual customers

  • Participate as part of a team, on shared assignments & projects

  • Deliver presentations to the company and its customers

  • Put together the elements of a sponsorship deal between the company and its racers

  • Compile a portfolio of completed training assignments at the end of the internship

  • Learn in a mentoring relationship where regular appraisal/evaluation offers opportunities to give and receive feedback

GRAPHIC ARTS INTERNSHIP

 Our company is looking for an intern in the graphic arts field. The position is open for as long as the student would like, but with a minimum of three months, eight to fifteen hours a week. They must have at least basic computer graphic skills. Experience with print, internet and multimedia are a plus. We offer the latest version of most graphic arts software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Quark, Macromedia Director and many more.  Nationwide territory, generous commission rates, incentive plans and bonuses. Relocation not required. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail and/or outside sales as well as knowledge of the motorcycle industry and products. Product knowledge and creativity is a plus.
